May Long Weekend

Lucky for us we had beautiful weather for a busy May long weekend. Kids had the pool out and "helped" in the garden. Caleb loves his work gloves! Also went for an nice hike above columbia lake - but had to cut it short for an ice cream break because it was a bit hot for the kids. We ended the weekend on the beach on Monday afternoon...kids played hard in the sand pile with the other beach bums! Looking forward to a summer of many days down there...

 

 

 

 

Wilmer Wetlands Hike

With the spring weather we have resumed our weekly family hike - this week did the Wilmer Wetlands hike. The kids had an extra incentive as we tracked down a "treasure" - a geo-cache hidden along the trail head. Dogs ended up in black mud up to their bellies as usual...the only downside of this beautiful walk above columbia wetlands.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Quiet Caleb?

Wasa Lake Picnic

Mother's Day was a fun day for our family - we loaded up the truck with bikes, BBQ and beach toys and headed to Wasa Provincial Park. We biked a loop around the the lake, then stopped for a picnic and some beach time. It was a beautiful sunny day and we had the whole beach to ourselves.

 

These kids are primed for an adventure!

As usual, Maya was a brave little trooper and tackled her new tag-along bike with enthusiasm. She and I biked 8km on our first ride together today! Mike towed Caleb in the bike trailer.

Mother's Day party

We had a little picnic for Mother's Day at Maya's preschool. It is always fun hanging out there with her, all the kids are so happy to be in such a great place!
