Columbia River Paddle

We did a great camping trip this weekend - an overnight canoe trip with some great friends. We started our paddle at Radium, spent about an hour on the water and found a beautiful, huge sand bar for our camp. The kids went crazy playing in the sand and water all afternoon. We had big driftwood campfire that evening and roasted hot dogs and marshmellows. The next day we packed up camp and drifted another hour or so upstream to Edgewater where we had parked a shuttle vehicle. We had quite a flotilla - 2 canoes, a kayak and a paddleboard for 4 adults and 5 kids.

Legofest

On the Sunday of our Calgary visit we attended a very special event...Legofest! It was great fun, very interactive, with lots of activities and different stations featuring all the Lego themes and characters. All the kids are huge Lego fans and spent a ton of time building and and having fun.

Calgary Zoo

We had an awesome long weekend in Calgary with Grammy, Grampy, and Uncle/Auntie and Jackson and Ruby. The fun started with a trip to the zoo on Saturday...

Happy Mother's Day

It was our 4th annual Mother's Day bike ride around Wasa Lake this year. As usual we pretty much had the whole lake and the beach to ourselves! This year was the first year we did the 8 km lap without towing a tag-a-bike or bike trailer - our kids are getting so big, they can pedal the loop on their own!

Welcome to Kindergarten, Baseball

Caleb's having a busy spring as he has started T-Ball again, and attend a Welcome to Kindergarten day at the primary school. He's lucky his big sister was there to help welcome him!

Cousin Visit

In the first week of May we were so lucky to get a visit from Kristina and Joanne; the kids had some very big belly laughs with Kristina and were very sorry to see her go. They are sure looking forward to getting a week of cousin time this coming summer!

Piano Recital

Maya's first piano recital was a big hit - proud Grandma and Grandpa were there to watch it.
