Ft. Steele

We really wanted to spend a day at Ft. Steele this summer. Maya and Caleb love our little Windermere valley museum and so a visit to the big heritage town at Ft. Steele was a major thrill. We were greeted at the gates by an RCMP who taught us how to stand in formation and then continued on to meet many of the colorful characters that make the town come alive. Highlight was panning for gold with "nugget Norm" - he's the real deal! Also the steam train ride was a big treat.

August Golf

This summer golf has been a real theme with our family, as the kids have started to enjoy it more. They got out for a couple of rounds with grandma and grandpa, and Caleb and Michael have also enjoyed a few "father-son" games.

Caleb always insists on wearing his "handsome" red golf shirt. In this photo he had just hit a tee shot clearing a water hazard, much to his own surprise!

Black Star Art Camp

Maya and Caleb spent a wonderful week creating art outdoors with Black Star studios at a five day art camp. Their creations were impressive - they got to show it all off at an art show in the gallery on the final day.

Sports Camp

The kids had an amazing experience with Rocky Mountain Sports camp - a 5 day camp where they canoed, kayaked, rock climbed, and played lots of team-building and other games and sports.
